Getting Started with Clear Aligners at Roots Dental Salem, OR
We partner directly with Candid Pro to custom-craft your clear aligners. Once they arrive, we will precisely check the fit to ensure they are comfortable for you.
Your Treatment Journey:
You will wear each set of aligners for about two weeks before switching to the next series.
We will carefully monitor your progress at regular intervals throughout the process.
Once your treatment is complete, wearing a retainer as recommended will ensure your beautiful new smile stays perfectly in place.

Dr. Taylor Swallow earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry.
He provides comprehensive general dentistry, offering services such as fillings, crowns, clear aligners, implant crowns, extractions, root canals, implant dentures, and more. Dr. Taylor is known for his precision, attention to detail, and conservative approach to care—helping patients achieve healthy, long-lasting smiles in a comfortable and welcoming environment.
In addition to general dentistry, Dr. Taylor has developed a special focus in airway-centered dentistry. As a verified airway dentist with advanced training through Airway Health Solutions, he is passionate about helping patients breathe and sleep better. He has completed specialized pediatric airway training under Dr. Ben Miraglia and Dr. Kevin Boyd, as well as advanced adult airway training under Dr. Ben Miraglia.
Dr. Taylor’s airway approach centers on identifying and addressing underdeveloped dental arches, often linked to modern, soft diets and poor oral posture. Using both fixed and removable appliances, he helps guide proper arch and bite development—supporting improved breathing, facial growth, and overall health.
He and his wife, Maren, have four children and love spending time outdoors—camping, fishing, hiking, biking, skiing, working in the yard, and playing sports. Their family recently welcomed a golden retriever named Moby.
