Dr. Ryan McCormick

Dr. Ryan McCormick completed his dental education training at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland and is looking forward to providing dental care to his local community. Born and raised in Brookings, Oregon, Dr. McCormick is a native Oregonian passionate about maintaining the oral health of his patients.

As a fishing guide in Brookings prior to his dental training, Dr. McCormick enjoyed helping others learn the ins and outs of catching fish. He strives to apply the same philosophy to his dental work by guiding patients to establish and maintain healthy dental habits. Dr. McCormick enjoys serving our patients at the Gresham and Powell locations, giving patients beautiful smiles from Southeast Portland to the foothills of Mt. Hood.

Dental Assistant

Sarah joined the Troutdale Dental team as a self proclaimed Rockstar Dental Assistant and has been living up to that name since arriving in the summer of 2019. A Portland native, she was a 5-star Varsity athlete at Biztech high and also delivered the Salutatory for her class. Not one to settle for second best, her collegiate studies led her to a business management degree that landed her a job working in the front office handling insurance verifications. Sarah soon became intrigued by the work in the operatories including the fascinating world of Oral Surgery. Today, Sarah works side by side with both Dr.’s to ensure everything is prepped, sterilized, and ready well in advance of your arrival for treatment. Sarah’s unsatisfied hunger to learn more every day makes her a great fit at Troutdale Dental as we see patients from all walks of life with varying needs to get their smiles back on track.

When she’s not flexing her skills in the practice, you can find her flexing in the gym continuing her fitness journey. She loves coming to work everyday ready to learn and provide the best experience for our patients.

"Finish the Sentence" with Sarah

If I could have dinner with one person, dead or alive it would be... Elvis Presley.

When I wake up the first thing I do or think about is... if I overslept or not.

If I could remake any movie and star in it, it would be... Suicide Squad.

Dr. Thomas Haymore, DMD

Dear Roots Dental Gresham Patients,

My name is Thomas Haymore, DMD and I am very excited to meet you and the great people of Gresham and provide quality dental care to you and your family. A little bit about me, I grew up in the midwest in St. Louis, Missouri.  Growing up my passions were music and skateboarding.  I knew pretty early on that I wanted to be a Dentist. I had a long-time family friend who was a Dentist and who I really looked up to. He was the type of man I wanted to be like. And that’s what started me on my path to becoming a Dentist.

After college, I spent some time in Spain and even learned some Spanish there all while gaining some amazing experiences. My wife Lisa and I met in College. She is a native to Oregon, which is what brought us to Dental School at OHSU. We love Oregon and decided to make Oregon home for our family. We have four kiddos. Three boys and a girl. Our oldest son graduated from the University of Oregon in 2019.  Our second son joined the United States Marine Corps after graduating high school in 2017 and is currently serving in North Carolina as an aircraft mechanic. Our third son is in high school and is a top-notch gamer.  Our youngest is taller than her mom now and very proud of it! She is an active middle-schooler and cheerleader.

After Dental School I completed three years of post-graduate residency. I spent my first year at the Veterans Memorial Hospital in Portland, Oregon, and the next two years at UCLA in Los Angeles, CA for advanced education in dental anesthesiology.

One of my favorite parts of practicing dentistry is providing anxiety and pain relief to patients who have avoided dental treatment due to extreme fear and anxiety. Those that know me probably know my love of many types of music.  For me, music is “The Great Communicator”.   Everything in life is better with music….even dentistry.

I can’t wait to meet you and get to know you better as well as see how I can help you keep a happy and healthy smile.
